Seafood Cooking Demonstration

A leading gastronomic event where restaurants in the municipality offer special menus linked to local fish and seafood, combining tradition and innovation.

In 2001, the first edition of the Mostra de Cuina Marinera was held, an event that would serve as the origin and foundation for all the culinary promotion initiatives that have since been developed under the banner of “La Vila Gastronómica.”
Michelin-starred chefs such as Santi Santamaría, Susi Díaz, Ricard Camarena, Quique Dacosta, Sergi Arola, Mª José San Roman, Joan Roca, and Juan Luis Aduriz have participated in this Mostra, creating special menus to open or close the event. However, the true essence of “La Mostra” lies in the menus that the restaurants of La Vila Joiosa prepare specifically for these days, which highlight our local products, our traditional seafood cuisine, and our cultural identity.
Traditional recipes and new culinary techniques come together during these events, where we find everything from traditional dishes to new gastronomic concepts, and from time-honored techniques to the most modern and cutting-edge methods. All of these offerings feature fish and seafood from the bay as the main star.
The wide variety of restaurants and the skill of their chefs offer us the opportunity to savor both traditional cuisine and contemporary, cutting-edge dishes. The La Vila Joiosa Seafood Cuisine Festival is an event that showcases the richness and strength of our culinary heritage, as well as the professionalism, reliability, and potential of La Vila’s restaurants.
The Mostra kicks off the annual calendar of events for “La Vila Gastronómica,” and after more than 25 editions, it is, without a doubt, a benchmark and a meeting place for gourmets and lovers of fine dining in the province of Alicante.
