Vila Vella opens the registration period for the routes and activities that will take place from September 11 to 13

This year, the routes, the visit to the Passeig de Ronda, the zip line, the hot air balloon, and the children’s activities will be for charity, with the proceeds going to three social associations.

The cultural project La Vila Vella will once again fill the streets of Villajoyosa’s historic center from September 11th to 13th. This initiative, organized by the City Council with the collaboration of a large group of volunteers, opens registration this Tuesday, August 25th, for the routes and activities that will take place during the three days. This year, as a new feature, La Vila Vella will support three social organizations.

In this edition, the routes, the visit to the Passeig de Ronda, the zip line, the hot air balloon ride, and the children’s activities (hiking, painting, and cooking) will all be for charity. These activities will cost three euros (two euros for the Passeig de Ronda), and all proceeds will go to three social organizations: Ágora, Amigos y Familiares de la Residencia Santa Marta, and Extraordinarios T21.

Mayor Marcos Zaragoza explained that “the 2026 edition of La Vila Vella goes a step further and will be a charitable cultural event.” He added that “La Vila Vella has established itself as a leading cultural event in a unique setting: our historic center, declared a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC). It’s a space where history and culture will once again come together for three days.”

The Councillor for Culture, Marisa Mingot, explained that “those interested in participating in the routes or activities scheduled from September 11th to 13th can register in person at Vilamuseu from Tuesday, August 25th, until Saturday, August 29th.” She indicated that “registration for one of the activities opens each day of the week, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.” Each person can register a maximum of four times per day; any remaining places will be offered the following week, and places will be reserved for the day of each activity.
