La Barbera Auditorium

The Barbera Open-Air Auditorium is a spacious cultural venue located in the gardens of the La Barbera dels Aragonés House-Museum. Surrounded by green spaces, it serves as the main venue for cultural activities during the summer, hosting concerts, theater performances, and outdoor events in a historic and pleasant setting.

This open-air auditorium hosts most of the summer’s cultural events. It is a spacious venue located in the gardens of the “Barbera dels Aragonés” House-Museum. Originally a 17th-century country house converted into a romantic mansion, it was owned by the Aragonés family, a prominent family of politicians, clergy, and military figures.
In the early 21st century, now under municipal ownership, it was converted into a house-museum, and the surrounding fields were transformed into the “green lung” of the city center and a daily gathering place. There are playgrounds for children, as well as an “archaeological garden” area where remains from various nearby excavations have been relocated.
Another cultural space found in “La Barbera” is the EAC, “Espai d’Art Contemporani.” This space is housed in the farmhouse’s former stables, which now serve as an exhibition hall where exhibitions by contemporary artists are regularly held.
